Paul Martin Gomez

Paul was born in Dallas on January 29, 1945, to Jesus and Lucy Gonzales Gomez. He graduated from Crozier Technical High School. Paul was married to Rachel Guerrero Gomez on February 28, 1962; they were married 62 years.

Paul worked as an ink maker for St Clair and Valentine for 35 years. He enjoyed fishing and baseball.

Paul is preceded in death by his parents Jesus and Lucy Gonzales Gomez; his in-laws Emilio and Rachel Guerrero; his children Mario Gomez and Rita Elaine Gomez; his brothers Pete Gomez, Chico Gomez, Lupe Gomez, Joe Gomez, Frank Gomez, and Mingo Gomez; his sisters Martha Ruiz, Natalie Rojo, and Candy Gomez.

Paul is survived by his wife Rachel Guerrero Gomez; his brothers Jimmie Gomez and John Gomez; his sister Dolores Lopez; his children Paul “Pansonie” Gomez (Jessie), Michelle Gomez, and Betty Poras (Louis); grandchildren Miriam Gomez, Audi Hernandez (Melissa) and Sebastian Hernandez (Melissa); great-grandchildren Sebastian, Audi, Delilah, Destiny, Briana, and Gabby; and other family and friends.

The memorial service will be held at 1:00pm on March 15 at Calvary Hill Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Paul’s memory may be made to the American Association of Kidney Patients (AAKP).
