Pedro "Pete" Cruz Medina

Pedro “Pete” Medina, age 91, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2025, in Dallas, Texas. Born on May 12, 1934, in Wheelock, Texas, to Palemon and Virginia Medina, Pete lived a full and joyful life marked by love, laughter, and dedication to family.

A proud veteran, Pete served honorably in the U.S. Army. In 1968, he married the love of his life, Margarita Medina. Together, they raised two daughters and built a life filled with warmth, humor, and resilience.

Pete worked as a printer for Mary Kay Cosmetics, where he dedicated over 14 years of hard work and craftsmanship. Outside of work, he found joy in fishing, watching car racing shows, and entertaining those around him. Pete was a natural storyteller with a joke always at the ready and a unique nickname for just about everyone. He was known for his playful spirit, especially in the way he connected with his nieces and nephews through laughter and light-hearted mischief.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Margarita; daughters, Michelle (Fred) Gutierrez and Leandra (Luciano) Ramos; and grandchildren, Tobias and Gabriel Gutierrez, Santiago, and Amina Ramos.

Pete’s legacy of humor, kindness, and unwavering love for his family will live on in the many lives he touched.
