Loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Peggy Ruth Richardson Barton, went to be with the Lord on February 15, 2018 at the age of 89. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, four sisters and grandson Joseph Anthony Barton. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Billy Joe Barton of Dallas; daughter Karen Barton Wilson and her husband Roy of Dallas, son Paul Barton and his wife Paula of Kopperl, grandchildren Chuck Wilson and his wife Christy of Midlothian, Zach Barton and his wife Courtney of Waxahachie and Callie Barton Scogin and her husband Jay of Cleburne and great-grandchildren Emily Wilson, Owen Wilson, Memphis Barton, Trinitee Barton and Claire Scogin, as well as sisters Juanita Nix and Ellen Foster of Hurst and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 18, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Laurel Land Funeral Home, 6000 S.R.L. Thornton Fwy., Dallas, TX 75232. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at Hampton Road Baptist Church, 400 N. Hampton Rd., Desoto, TX 75115. Mrs. Barton will be laid to rest at Dallas Fort-Worth National Cemetery.
