Greeting family and friends and loved ones.
My name is Bobbie Lee Green, and I am Randy’s first cousin.
I am going to miss the phone calls as Randy called me every day and asked about my health and the health of our family members and just things in general. Unfortunately, when he stopped calling, I had no idea what had happened. I had my son search for you, he called hospitals, went on Facebook and other until he found you months later.
I was glad we found you as he learned that you had lost your phone, but I was saddened when I heard that your body was under attack, and you lost your memory. Even more when I still couldn’t hear from you. Know that you are always in my heart and in my prayers.
I miss you so much!

Randy's "lil cousin," as he would lovingly say! I thank you for all the memories, teachings and talks we had.

Randy Tyrone Parish, my big cousin. Back in the late seventies to the early eighties when you and I lived in Oakland California. We had some good times and bad times too back then. Some places you really couldn’t step in the town, but Randy!  he was from Dallas, and he would tell you in a minute. you brought that swag, smoothness and finesse to the town from the Big “D” and folks admired and respected you. But God!

I know we had God on our side and some prayer warriors too. I was seventeen years old, and Randy was about twenty-nine. I remember I cut class one day in High school, and you pulled up on me and my boys in his "Z". I thought I was done when you told me to get in the car. But instead, you told me what to expect from the folks I was hanging out with, and you were right about what you said would happen as you saw something I did not see. It was not much later when you dropped me off that something bad had happened. Fortunately, I was not involved as you were there!

I just thought it was peculiar how you would show up man, in places where I know I should not have been. Like at Jonel’s Lounge on West Mac Arthur and Broadway, Rainbow carwash and detail. I was only eighteen! Only you would know cousin.
I know it was only God that kept us, and he still keeps us now.

Even though, took the ruff way up the mountain, I had decided in my later years and with the help of God to change my life for the better as I took his advice learning from some strong and prominent men and woman in my life back then and even now. I needed some sound advice as sound advice is a sign of wisdom, and wise people seek it, while fools think they know best. The Bible says, "Where there is no counsel, people fall, but in a multitude of counselors, there is safety" (Proverbs 11: 14) yes, I kept that and stayed safe!

For the past ten years or so, every time we talked an hour or more would pass before we knew it. Randy you would say how proud my dad would be if he were still here.
