Rene "Rey Rey" Jesus Mata II

Mata, Rene- Rene Jesus Mata (Rey Rey), born July 28, 1992, to Rene and Guadalupe Mata in Dallas, Texas. Despite the circumstances, Rene Mata left to be with our Lord and Savior in the most peaceful way possible on Sunday, March 21, 2021.

Rene was well-known in the community for his Daily Sport updates with a focus on the Dallas Cowboys and Dallas Mavericks. He made long lasting relationships with people of all ages and levels of ability. Rene’s positive energy and caring attitude made him a shinning beacon wherever he went. He enjoyed making people laugh with his contagious smile and laughter. Rene didn’t have to say much to get the room smiling. He also had his artistic side with his love of music and logos that he would create for everyone that he loved. On Sundays, Rene found joy in making thoughtful purchases from his job at Trader Joes for his family.

He is survived by his loving parents Rene and Lupe Mata of Dallas, Texas; brother Ruben Mata, wife Sylvia Rios-Mata; sisters, Monica Mata, Adriana Mata, husband Christian Aguilar; Paternal grandfather Rene Mata; Maternal grandmother Esperanza Quijano; Nephews: Israel Mata, Dallas Mata; Nieces: Alexa Mata, Juliana Aguilar, Gabriella Aguilar and an abundance of Uncles, Aunts, and Cousins. He will be greatly missed as he was the light to all who met him. Mijo, this isn’t goodbye but a see you later!
