Richard received his formal education from the Dallas and Wortham Public Schools and the graduated from Wortham High School.
He worked at Dallas County Schools for well over 30 years and he retired from there in 2012.
Richard was a devoted born-again Christian who loved God with all of his heart. He lived his life walking in the ways of the God and doing good towards others.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents, daughters; Vanessa Womack and Laquenta Coleman.
Those left to cherish his memories are: his wife, Mary Barge; sons; Bosque Barge, Anthony barge, Darius Barge, daughters; Latrinda Shenane Brown, Novella Hunter (John) Charlotte Smith, son in law; Billy Coleman, sister; Imogene Barge, 19 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
