Dear Rick, we remember you fondly as a good friend who didn’t need to say a word; your mere presence and smile made us feel at ease. Thank you for everything you brought into our lives. It was beautiful to have crossed paths with you in this earthly life.

Rick, Martin & Kent at Williams Energy final presentation 2009. One of the few times Rick wasn't wearing his hard hat...Rick was the ultimate optimist in all my experiences with him, and he was one helluva great teacher.  Rick was my boss, my mentor, and my friend.  I miss him & I'll always remember Rick with a smile on his face.

Sad to learn Rick’s passing. We worked together for several years. A great professional and a kind man to be around.

Working with Rick was a memorable experience.  We did some very good work.

This is Jill and Rick with their Grandson Jayden. Jay shares a passion and love for all things gem and mineral so each year in Denver it was a tradition to hit the Gem & Mineral Show. This was in 2023!

People often say I am my Dads Twin! This was our last photo together last year at the Denver Gem & Mineral show!

Rick and I worked together in the consulting world over the last 20+ years.  He and I did numerous sales calls together where he would accompany me.   Roughly 15 years ago we were on a trip to Los Angeles to meet with an L.A. Basin oil producer.  We had an extra 3-4 hours before our meeting and Rick asked me if it was OK if we ran a personal errand for him.

Having no idea what that could mean in all places of L.A., as his co-worker and friend I said sure.  We drive for about an hour ending up in this old warehouse district looking for a particular entrance.  We find it, go in and it’s a ginormous rock store.  Geodes by the dozens amongst tons of other rocks.  Rick was in heaven.  I went along for the “ride” and got an education in geology.  I felt even then a bit of honor that I’d been trusted to share in something he loved so much.

I already miss him.  My condolences to the family.
