Rob Henry of Dallas, Texas, passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2023. He was 64. He had combated 2 strokes and diabetes for years and on Saturday, his internal life switch turned off and he passed peacefully.
He was the Associate Director 1996-2016 for the International & American Assoc. of Clinical Nutritionists (IAACN) and the Clinical Nutrition Certification Board (CNCB). He was loved by clients, doctors, practitioners, exhibitors and hotel management, particularly on how he handled any issues he was confronted with. He had a personality that everyone got along with. When Rob retired due to medical issues, there was so many calls inquiring about him.
He was a good friend to many and they knew that the party was about to get good when he arrived with his Texas Longhorn cap & cigar. He could sit with people for hours discussing sports (biased for Longhorns & Cowboys). He enjoyed watching and playing golf, and would sometimes adlib what the real score was. He was an avid dog lover and had at least one at home most his life, until he could no longer take care of them, which he tremendously missed.
He was, at times, someone to be reckoned with and you never knew what was going to come out of his mouth. Under that roughness though, he had a big heart! I loved my brother and he will be missed. He is in Heaven now with my mother and father - what a reunion!
Instead of a traditional funeral, he requested to be cremated with no memorial service, so his friends and I, his brother Kevin, organized a Celebration of Life from 3-7PM on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at The Hub on Belt Line Road in Addison.
