Bobby brings wonderful memories back to me of the '60s when I lived with my grandparents, next door to the Franz family, and worked at Ramstein AFB.  I had always called him Bill, thinking it was his first name.  Sweet as he was, he never corrected me. He and Lilli were so kind, taking me with them to the NCO Club to dance and for pizza afterwards. And, many a morning, "Bill" would give me a lift to work at the base, and we would have great chats along the way. We shared a love for music, especially Sam Cooke's amazing voice. It's been decades since that time, but those memories will forever be etched in my mind and my heart. RIP, my friend! My deepest sympathy to the family.  I also send my condolences in the recent loss of Ronnie Lee. May the Lord give you strength and grant you peace during this sad time.  Elke

* Robert Bell was born March 6 1937 to Homer and Mattie Bell in Dallas Texas . He is survived by his wife of 35 years Deborah Bell of Trinidad Texas Father in law Charles Hunt of Dallas Tx . His Daughter Janna Bell Thomas of Eustace Tx. His Sons Ronnie Bell of Dallas Tx and David Bell of Midwest City Ok. Daughter in law Chrissy McNeill of Midwest City Ok Granddaughters Sarah Bell of Athens Tx Stephanie McNeill of Midwest City OK and Kelsey Bell of Midwest City OK . Grandson Jaden Bell of Seven Points Tx. Great Grand Daughter Cadde Shaw of Arlington Tx . Nieces Debra Moore Kansas City Mo and Marion Pate of Paris Tx. Nephew Glen Pate of Rockwell Tx . Robert grew up in Dallas and enlisted in U.S Air Force in 1954 and served with honor until 1976 retiring after 22 years of service .  He is proceeded in death by his parents Homer Bell and Mattie Fannin Step Father Arthur  Fannin  Brother Ruben Pate Jr and Sister Helen Hunt 


I am glad that I got to know as I would call him Mr Bell as he would come to the American Legion Post 310 usually on a warm Wednesday afternoon with his friends Bill, Russell and a few others after playing a great game of golf and talking about great times and just having g a good time socializing with everyone. He will be missed may he find happiness and bless his family during these rough times. I will remember the joy and laughter he brought his friends at the American Legion. 

I’ve tried to tell my self I would be ready for this moment but I’ve found out your never ready they say your life flashes before you as you go.  I think it’s the same when you loose someone like a parent all I can think about are the good times we had all  the laughs and talks shared all the things he taught me and the man he shaped me to become and for that I’m forever grateful to him for. The last few times I saw my Dad I made sure he knew I couldn’t have asked for a better Dad and I loved him . I’ll miss our private talks and the laughs we would have away from everyone .These last few years we didn’t have near enough of them something I’ll regret for the rest of my life . You know those silly security questions they ask like who was your hero I would always put my Dad because he truly was my hero .

Dad you will be so missed, thank you for introducing us to the lake, conversations and miss daisy.  Marianne

Uncle Bobby was my favorite Uncle. He was a great Father and loved by many Friends. I have memories of him that will stay in my heart forever. I miss his tall tales and his joking manner. He always made me laugh. Say hello to Mother for us. R.I.P.   Debbie & E J Moore

I will always remember Uncle Bobby looking so tough,but he was the sweetest Man.He was so funny. As a child and teenager in my eyes he was always making us laugh(unless you did something bad).We haven't seen Bobby for many years ,I will always have the memories that are so dear to my heart. I loved it when visiting on the back porch. Bobby was a good conversationist. I will miss his words of wisdom and his smile.

Oh papaw how I miss you so much! This is still so hard to believe. I will cherish every trip we took together when I was a kid. Or going to work with you in the box truck delivering tortillas to stores. Or how you had the load of dirt come in at home when I was 3 and I was so happy and excited and I asked you in excitement ooh papaw is that for me?...  I miss you so much. ! I love you papaw!
