Robert Lee Butler, age 75, passed away at T. Boone Hospice and Palliative Care Center on March 19, 2020. Robert was born on April 14, 1944 in Brinkley, Arkansas to the late Charlie J. Butler and Cathryn N. Butler. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He loved golf. Robert graduated from Brinkley High School in 1963. Robert went on to attend The University of Arkansas and graduated from Davenport University, Flint, Michigan with a Bachelor degree in Business Administration. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and retired from General Motors.
He was preceded in death by Larry Butler and Lawrence Wilbur Butler. He is survived by his wife, Dr. Betty Butler of Desoto,TX, daughters, Jeanette Atkins (Greg) of Mc Donald,GA, Rochelle Butler of Desoto,TX, and Barbara Butler-Brown of Desoto, TX, sons, Robert Butler of Dallas, TX, and Emeka Butler (Sharonda) of Fort Worth, TX.
His siblings Acy Butler of Philippines, Lincoln Butler (Dorothy) of Desoto, TX, Brenda Morrison (Luther) of Dallas, TX, William Morris Butler (Erma) of Dallas, TX, Linda Pighee (Paul) of Cedar Hill, TX, Stanley Butler of Dallas, TX, and Cathy Franklin (Benny) of Desoto, TX. He leaves behind 15 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. A private memorial will be announced at a later date.
