Robert "Bob" E. Dunn

Robert E. Dunn ("Bob") was born on April 1, 1951, in Mobile, Alabama, and graduated from Murphy High School in 1969. He attended the University of Tennessee School of Engineering, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in 1973. The Harvard Business School awarded him the Master of Business Administration in 1975 with distinction.

Mr. Dunn began his professional career path working for the Heavy and Overseas Group of Brown & Root in Houston, Texas in 1975. The dominance of oil, gas and chemical industry spurred his acceptance of a position with Occidental Petroleum in Houston. Moving to Champlain Petroleum in Houston with relocation to Ft. Worth in 1989. With industry dynamics he moved into a position with Union Pacific Resources, broadening his knowledge and expertise. Subsequently, he partnered with a group of industry colleagues and professionals to form Prism Gas System LP. With success as President of Prism Gas System, he partnered again with industry professionals to create Prism Midstream LLC. Throughout his career Bob made friends and became knowledgeable of the many and varied Oil and Gas Industry entities and areas of business. He proudly held the office of President of the Gas Processors Association for two years.

Bob and Judith Dunn married in 1980, and have enjoyed his career and retirement. In retirement focus has turned to yoga, pilates, weight lifting, bike riding, walking, skating, tennis and pickleball. Travel has been the center of their activities occupying much of their time. The world has been their chosen educational and entertainment arena. He will be missed by the many who have known him through the years.

A funeral service for Bob will be held Thursday, January 16, 2025 at 2:00 PM with a viewing beginning at 1:00 PM at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 West Northwest Highway, Dallas, TX 75225, with a burial and reception to follow, also at Sparkman/Hillcrest.
