

Ronald Abeita, beloved father and coach passed away peacefully at the age of 60 in his Duncanville home surrounded by loved ones on Saturday December 17th, 2022. He was born on May 19th, 1962 to parents Virginia & Alex Abeita. He was the youngest of 5 children.
Ron attended Bishop Dunne High School where he played football as a linebacker and halfback. After graduating high school, Ron started a business with his father's guidance installing specialty residential tile which he ran successfully for 40 years. He was considered a highly skilled artist in his work.
Ron was an avid music and movie enthusiast; he regularly sought out live music and enjoyed watching movies with his family. He especially enjoyed Jazz, Blues, and Rock & Roll. He was also a great cook who loved feeding his family. He practiced yoga regularly and even competed. Ron was a big-hearted guy that made friends easily.
Ron was a devoted father to his 3 children. He prioritized them in his life, coaching them in baseball and softball; and supporting their theater productions. He was an ever-present support in their lives, at every birthday, holiday, and special occasion attending with a smile. His kind smile and warm hearted laugh will be dearly missed. He is survived by Son Mitchell C. Abeita; Daughters Lauren Doherty (Austin), and Addisun Nora Abeita; siblings Elizabeth Gutierrez, Lawrence Abeita, Kachina Abeita, Johnny Abeita (Debbie); Nieces Lydia Gonzalez, Angela Gutierrez; Nephews Stephen Gutierrez, Richard Gutierrez, Aaron Abeita, Micah Abeita; and Godson Jacob Lopez.
