Ron was born March 26, 1931 in Weehawken, NJ and passed away July 25, 2011 in Mesquite, TX. He earned three Bronze Stars serving in the US Army during the Korean War. Ron had a lifelong musical career as an accomplished violinist. During the 1960s, he toured the Middle East as first violinist of a State Department Quartet. As Concertmaster he played in the AIMS Festival Orchestra in Graz, Austria from 1990 to 2005. Ron was in various American symphonies, including 10 years as Co-Concertmaster of the Cincinnati Symphony, and most recently, 29 years as Associate Concertmaster of the Dallas Symphony. In 2006, he retired as Associate Concertmaster Emeritus for the Dallas Symphony. Ron is survived by his wife, Tara Moore; daughter, Niki Gustafson; and son, Mark Hudson.
