Ronald "Terry" Litz, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his beloved wife, three daughters and their families at his home on January 1, 2025. He was born October 11, 1937, to Lanty Weldon and Gladys Mae (Libby) Litz, in Milton, PA. After graduating from high school, Terry served in the United States Air
Force 735th Aircraft Control and Warming Squadron from 1956-1960. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal in 1959. Following his tour he continued to serve in the Air Reserve until 1962. Upon his return from the Air Force, Terry attended Bible college. It was there that he met his beloved wife, Martha Well. They were married June 16, 1962, and then returned to college to complete their degrees. Together, they served in ministry for many years. Terry was also a printer by trade and enjoyed picking up printing jobs. He was a hard worker and did not hesitate to work multiple jobs when needed to
provide for his family. Terry loved music. As a young man he played the trumpet and later learned to play the baritone and trombone. He enjoyed playing along with his wife and girls as they accompanied him on the piano. He had an appreciation for the old hymns, especially “The Old Rugged Cross”. He passed on his love of music to his daughters. He also enjoyed sports. With three daughters who showed little interest, he depended upon his son-in-law to share his enthusiasm as they often enjoyed attending
games together.
Terry loved his girls, “Laura Bell, Jay and Bec” as he lovingly called them. He was always looking for new ways to show them he loved them. He also found joy in his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is survived by his devoted wife of sixty-two years, Martha (Well) Litz. Together, they built a beautiful family that includes three loving daughters, Laura Linker (Joby), Jaynette Jones (Mike), and Rebecca Nelson (Darren). Terry was also a proud grandfather to eight grandchildren: Megan Ramos (Tim), Ethan Linker (Kasie), Zachary Nelson, Madison Barns (Carter), Matthew Jones (Hope), Taylor Garner (Ian), Aaron Jones (Savannah), and Jake Nelson. His joy and pride extended to his eleven great-grandchildren, who
brought light and laughter to his life. Terry is also survived by his three sisters, Anne Muscarella, Faye Ott,
and Pat Howard, all of Pennsylvania, as well as two brothers, Russell Litz and Walt Litz, also of Pennsylvania. Numerous nieces and nephews cherish the memories they shared with him.
In addition to his parents, Terry was preceded in death by his three sisters, Elsie Rice, Karen Hauser, and Mary Lou Hartman, as well as two brothers, Edward Litz, and Mark Litz.
