Rosa was the matriarch of our family—a nurturing presence who provided comfort and guidance through every stage of our lives. Her compassionate spirit touched everyone she met, always putting others before herself with grace and kindness. She was deeply cherished for her unconditional love and strength, and above all, she was devoted—to her family, her values, and the countless ways she made life brighter for those around her.
Rosa was preceded in death by her husband, Jose A. Miramontes, with whom she shared 51 wonderful years of marriage, and her sons Alfredo and Arturo. She is survived by her son Mickey, daughters and their spouses; Sylvia and Joe Galvan, Mary Ann and Albert Ayala Jr., and Rosanna and Steve Mejorado. She also leaves behind 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandson, each of whom brought immense joy to her life. In addition, she is survived by her loving sisters Lucinda Adame, Sylvia Jimenez, brother Lupe Trevino Jr., nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who shared a lifetime of memories and love with her.
Beyond her devotion to family, Rosa’s vibrant spirit shined through in countless ways. She adored Elvis Presley, and her home was filled with Elvis memorabilia. Her sassy nature, signature curled hair, and her infectious smile and contagious laugh made her unforgettable to all who knew her. She lived by the simple but powerful words, “If you don’t have anything nice to say, keep your mouth shut.” She had a way of correcting us in a stern yet gentle tone, something we won’t forget. Her warmth made everyone feel like she was their “Grandma Rose”.
Rosa leaves behind a legacy of strength, faith, and kindness that will continue to inspire generations to come; and her memory will forever live on through the love she gave, the lessons she taught, and the family she cherished.
