Rosalinda Torres Kelly, age 69, passed away on July 8, 2025, in Dallas, Texas. She was born to Cisto and Ruth Torres on December 5, 1955, in Dallas, Texas. Rosa attended Kiest High School, class ’73 in Dallas. She graduated from the University of North Texas in 1977 and went on to become a talented graphics artist at Southwestern Bell Yellow Pages where she worked for more than 15 years.
In 2005, Rosa married the love of her life, David Scott Kelly with whom she shared many beautiful experiences. In her spare time, Rosa enjoyed gardening, crafting, making special gifts, and decorating her home for holiday gatherings. Her family and friends will always remember her as a kind and generous soul who was very wise and would light up the room with a beautiful smile and big laugh. She loved her dogs, Coco, Lady, Dakota, and Max, and her bird, Cheeks.
Rosa is preceded in death by her parents, Cisto and Ruth Torres; her sisters, Christina Torres, Patricia Torres, and Evelyn Torres Villalba.
She is survived by her husband David Scott Kelly; brother-in-law Jake Villalba; nephews Jacob Villalba and Andrew Villalba; niece, Valerie Villalba; sister-in-law Debbie Gullett; niece, Erica Sal and husband Carlos Sal; niece Amanda Gullett; sister-in-law, Colleen Elliott; niece, Rachel Hargett and husband Keaton Hargett; nephew Collin Elliott and wife Ashley Elliott; great-nephew, Chance Elliot; and great-niece, Everly Hargett.
The family invites you to join in celebrating Rosalinda's life. A memorial service will be held at Calvary Hill Funeral Home, 3235 Lombardy Lane, Dallas, Texas 75220 on Thursday, July 17, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. with a reception to follow at restaurant Ojeda's, 4617 Maple Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75219.
