RoseMary "Rosie" Gonzalez

RoseMary "Rosie" Gonzalez, age 78, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2025, in Dallas, Texas. Born and raised in San Antonio, Rosie was a longtime resident of Houston and spent her final years in Dallas.

Rosie will be remembered for her love of bargain shopping, remarkable faith, joy for her pups, and deep devotion to her son Steven. She loved her dogs Donny, Powder, Scotty, Wicky, Khloe (KloKlo) and her princess Lola as well as grand pups DJ and Teddy. She absolutely loved DANCING–starting with winning a TWIST contest in the 60’s and especially to her 80’s music.

She is survived by her son Steven J. Gonzalez; step children Alberto Gonzalez and Christina Sanchez; niece Deborah A. Ruiz; great-nieces Nicole R. Faulkner and Sydni D. Ward; and numerous great-great nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her daughter Annie Uribe; spouse, Randall L. Scott; mother, Gertrude C. Uribe; siblings Elvira Taylor, Margaret Servantez and Carlos M. Castillo.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 3rd from 12-4 p.m. at Gonzalez Funeral Home, 3050 N Stemmons Frwy, Dallas, Texas. An additional Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in San Antonio, Texas.
