Ruby Pauline Jackson

Mrs. Ruby Pauline Jackson was born on November 7, 1939 in Bryant,Texas. She was the daughter of Jimmy and Marie Johnson. Ruby graduated high school then went on to owning many restaurants in the Smith County Tyler Texas area.

Ruby was a devoted mother and friend whom she laid roots and raised in Dallas, TX. Ruby enjoyed many things but most of all she enjoyed cooking, as this is what brought a smile to her face as well as others.

She was always greeted ones with laughter a smile and wanting a come to me baby ( if you know you know) as she never met a stranger. You knew and could feel she posed the question with genuine concern and care, ( you also knew if she didn’t like you) Because she was caring, loving, inviting, warm, and genuine. Her warm smile and engaging presence will be remembered and greatly missed.

Ruby departed her earthly life on February 25,2025. She is preceded in death by both of her parents Jimmy and Marie Johnson, her loving and devoted husband of over 30 years Roy Lee Henderson, her son Jimmy Lee Henderson, her grandson, Ronald Dunn, her daughter Erma Lee Simpson. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will be cherished by all who knew her.

She is survived by two sons: Anthony Henderson , Willie Henderson, two daughters: Jeanetta Taylor, Suequilla Williams (Rollie). Five Grandchildren: Demetria Grier, (George) Steven Henderson (Damaris) Lekeisha Shine (Gordon) Demarcus Henderson, Leslie Lewis. A host of great grandchildren, great great, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A visitation for Ruby will be held Tuesday, March 4, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Singing Hills Funeral Home, 6221 UNIVERSITY HILLS BLVD, DALLAS, TX 75241. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, March 4, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 6221 UNIVERSITY HILLS BLVD, DALLAS, TX 75241. A graveside will occur Tuesday, March 4, 2025 from 12:15 PM to 12:30 PM at Laurel Land Funeral Home & Laurel Land Memorial Park, 6300 S R L Thornton Fwy, Dallas, TX 75232.
