

Faye moved to Dallas in 1949 and attended Crozier Tech High School. She later attended Eastfield College where she studied accounting. She held various accounting jobs throughout her career. She started her own business in 1970 and operated Mack & Faye Tire And Wheel Center in Dallas for 12 years before eventually retiring from Tucker Electric in Dallas. Faye was featured in Dallas Magazine as "The Business Woman Of The Year" in 1980.
She married Robert Spencer on October 4, 1953. Together they had two sons and three daughters. Faye remained in the Dallas area before moving to Greenville in 1999. She eventually settled in Seagoville in 2003.
She had a fondness for quilting and had immense joy in crafting and creating beautiful floral arrangements and wreaths. She loved gardening on her patio and several times received the "Prettiest Patio" award of the month. Faye was known for the best chicken and dumplings and beef stew. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family.
She loved the Lord and believed in the power of prayer. Her relationship with God and her love for her family were the central focus of her life. She was well known for her kindness and generosity.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Bonnie McCrary; her brothers, Edmond McCrary, JD McCrary and Sammy McCrary; her son, Donald Spencer; and daughters, Linda Mae Rupe and Gay Lee Spencer.
Faye is survived by her daughters, Connie Bruner; Peggy Norris (Raymond); son, Sammy Spencer (Kim); sister, Linda Horton (Kenneth); sister in law Maxine McCrary; sister in law Betty McCrary; grandchildren, Joshua Spencer (Kelli), Shelby Spencer (Brandi), Brandi Smith, Donald Spencer, Jr., Heather Sonntag (Jeff), Stephen Bruner (Amanda), Sharon Bruner (Dave),Wesley Webster (Kailey), Morgan Young (Dawson), Timothy Norris, Grant Norris, Racheal King (Casey); great grandchildren, Bentley Smith, Wesley Sonntag, Margot Bruner; and many more loving relatives and friends all who will forever cherish her memory.
Pallbearers will be, Timothy Norris, Grant Norris, Donald Spencer, Jr., Stephen Bruner, Joshua Spencer and Shelby Spencer. Honorary pallbearers are Bentley Smith, Wesley Sonntag and Wesley Webster.
