

Samuel was born May 11, 1941, in Nashville, Tn to Mary Witherspoon and John McDonald. He attended school in Nashville and graduated from Pearl High School, class of 1959, and graduated from the American Baptist Theological Seminary, Summa Cum Laude, with a Bachelors degree in Theology and Social Sciences. He was a member of the Delta Epsilon Chi Honor Society and the Theta Alpha Epsilon Honor Society.
He served in the US Navy for 4 years, honorably discharged at the rank of Torpedoman 2. After military service he was employed by USDA as a Meat Inspector for 32 years.
He met Amaryllis Darden in Clarksville, Tennessee in 1970, they were married on January 1, 1972, and were happily married for 53 years.
He was saved, baptized, and dedicated to the Original Church of God, Sanctified Church, 14th and Phillip, Nashville, Tennessee, where he served as Teacher, Evangelist, and National HYPU. He later served as Pastor in Pulaski, Tennessee, Crofton, Kentucky, and Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
He relocated to Clovis, New Mexico with the USDA, He later relocated to Mesquite, Texas where he served as Assistant Pastor at Gospel Tabernacle Church, Founded and Pastored Jubilee Christian Fellowship Church, and served as Teacher, Counselor, and Advisor at The Pathway of Life Church.
In addition to his parents and grandparents, He was preceded in death by one brother Michael, and 3 sisters, Patricia, Mary, and Johnnie.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted, and loving wife Amaryllis McDonald, devoted children Pamela (Derek) Miller, Kimberly McDonald, Samuel E McDonald Jr, Joi Q. McDonald, and Stephen (Veronica) McDonald. Six Granddaughters, Four Grandsons, Brothers Richard, Clarence, James and William, Sister Rose and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and Spiritual children.
