I did not know Mr. Wing, but stumbled upon his obituary while looking for another.  Mr. Wing must have been an extraordinary man. What an amazing legacy he has left behind. I would have been honored to have known him.  I look forward to meeting him in heaven one day. ❤

I was saddened when I saw Sam’s obituary this morning...I have wonderful memories of an amazing and kind man from my work at Wing in Greenville from 1977-1984.  So many of the things I learned there served me as I progressed to where I am now.  His life and work positively affected more lives than you will ever know!  I respected Sam for his work and the way he treated all of us.  I know those who loved him will miss him so but I also know how much he loved his Lord and Savior Jesus and trust you will be reunited one day...praying blessings on his family this morning “precious in the eyes of the Lord is the death of His saints.”❤️

I am a friend of Claire Wing and a member of St Rita.  I have fond memories of Sam not only at St Rita but the times I would see him at Edgemere where my mother resided.   My condolences to Claire and the entire Wing family. 

So sorry to learn about Sam's passing.
For the past several years, I would look forward to the many visits with Sam at Edgemere. He never forgot a name, and we shared some of the many trips and meetings enjoyed  by us both, while  being in YPO, and WPO.
I considered Sam a close friend....client and colleague.
May he rest in peace......and I know for sure he is in heaven!  




















The Wings were my neighbors from 1951 to 1955 when they were renting the house two doors from me on Mockingbird Parkway . After they bought a house in another neighborhood, I saw Sam's niece Cynthia and nephew Travis at the University Psrk pool in the summer of 1955.Then in 1999 I attended Travis' funeral at Restland.My next contact with the family was with Sam,Jr himself when I was at Edgemere for rehab after having hip replacement surgery in 2018.Sincere condolences to the family.
