

Sara was a professional vocalist. She was both a performer and a patron of the Arts. Born in Michigan and grew up in Bloomfield Hills where she met her husband David in the 7th grade Advanced Math Class. Sara and David were married for 33 years and had two children, Benjamin and Rebecca. Sara attended Brown University, obtaining an A.B. in Psychology, The University of Michigan School of Music obtaining Bachelors in Music Voice Performance as well as Wayne State University obtaining a R.M.T. in Music Therapy. She was a member of the Society of Pi Kappa Lambda, Chi Chapter, National Association of Teachers of Singing “NATS”, American Music Therapy Association, Musical Arts Club, Pro Musical, Lyric Stage, Fort Worth Opera, Junior League of Dallas “JLD”, Colonial Dames and National Institute of American Doll Artists “NIADA”. Sara taught private voices lessons at Highland Park High School as well as in her private voice studio.

Sara is survived by her loving husband of 33 years Dr. David P. Chason, M.D. of the home, son; Benjamin G. Chason of Dallas, TX, daughter; Rebecca D. Chason of Dallas, TX, parents; Mary Jane and Charles Dalgleish Jr., of Bloomfield Hills, MI, brother; Charles K. Dalgleish of Vienna, VA and sister; Elizabeth Dalgieish O'Brien of Bloomfield Hills, MI.
Memorial Service will be held Wednesday December 14, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Oaklawn United Methodist Church, 3014 Oaklawn Ave., Dallas, TX 75219. Mrs. Chason will lay in state Saturday December 10, 2011 from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday December 11, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., formal family present visitation will be Sunday afternoon 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.. Interment will be at Restland Memorial Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. on Monday December 12, 2011.
