Socorro Urrutia Sanchez

She was born on February 28, 1933, in Chihuahua, Mexico, to Juan and Josefina Urrutia. Socorro married the love of her life, Benjamin P. Sanchez, and together they shared 75 devoted years of marriage.

A proud homemaker, Socorro dedicated her life to raising and caring for her family, lovingly guiding her 11 children.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Juan, and Josefina Urrutia; her husband, Benjamin P. Sanchez; her children, Gustavo Sanchez, Aldo Sanchez, and Maria Del Socorro Carrillo, and her grandchildren, Ruben Arroyo and Jasmin Gomez.

Socorro is survived by her children, Benjamin Sanchez Jr, Elvia Medrano, Alicia Gomez and Hector Gomez (spouse), Alfredo Sanchez, Hugo Pena, Graciela Sanchez, Valentine Sanchez, and Amelia Sanchez(spouse). Edna Almaraz and Sergio Almaraz (Spouse), and Maria Lopez. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, her brother, and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 23, 2025, from 4pm. to 8pm. at Calvary Hill Funeral Home Chapel, 3235 Lombardy Ln., Dallas, TX 75220. A Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at 11am. at the North Chapel in Main Mausoleum, followed by burial at 12pm.
