I read your mother's obituary in today's Dallas Morning News.  I am sorry for your loss. 

The name "Novit" caught my eye, and, sure enough, I read of your family's days in Stephenville.  I was born there while my father was stationed there with the Texas Highway Patrol.  As I remember it, your family's store was on the southwest side of the town square.  You may not remember me, but we were in school together there until your family moved in 1956.  My family also moved from Stephenville soon after yours did, in 1957 to Mt. Vernon in Northeast Texas.

How fortunate you are to have had your mother this long!  Both my parents are gone now - Dad was the last to go 5 years ago at age 94.

I hope you and your family find peace and comfort in this difficult time.

P.S. My first college roommate at A&M was Tom Kohler who was in school with you at some point in Dallas.  Tom has been in Orlando since 1972.

Dear family of Ms. Novit,
My condolences go out to you at this time of loss. I didn't know Ms. Novit personally but her obituary made me think of a scripture. Ecclesiastes 7:1 says, "A name is better than good oil, and the day of death than the day of one's being born."  It sounds like she made a good name for herself and lead a fulfilled life that people close to her look at with a smile.  Never forget the hope God gives us to see our loved ones once again on a paradise earth in perfect conditions.
