Stephen Samuel Marino, 86, passed away peacefully at home on February 7th, 2025, after a 3 year battle with leukemia. He is preceded in death by parents, Sam and Marie Marino, wife, Peggy Wright Marino, and grandsons, Justin Halbert and Michael Allen. He is survived by: wife of 22 years, Donna Bartlett Marino; son, Stephen Marino; daughters, Lana Halbert (Clayton), Stephanie Allen (Randy), and Johnna Walenczak (Steve); six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and sister, Anna Marie Cauble.
Steve was proud of his Italian heritage and his years at Holy Trinity Catholic School. He graduated from North Dallas High School (Go Bulldogs!), then serving in the U.S. Navy. He and Donna met and married in later life after both of their spouses had died and enjoyed traveling the United States by car with their current dog, visiting 48 of the continental states, living for a short time in Hawaii and missing Alaska because it was too far to drive.
A Rosary will be said at 10:00 am on Wednesday, February 19th, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am at Christ the King Catholic Church. 8017 Preston Rd. Interment will be at Calvary Hill cemetery at 2:00pm, 3235 Lombardy Lane, following a reception at the church.
