Stephen Velasquez, 66, passed away July 25, 2023 in Dallas, Texas. He was born June 13, 1957 in Dallas, Texas to Auturo Velasquez and Felicitas Ybarra. Steve was raised in West Dallas and married Janie Hernandez in 2021. However, they have been together for over thirty-six years.
In his spare time, Steve enjoyed fishing at the lake, traveling, being the family mechanic, reading, watching combat shows and cooking out.
His family and friends will always remember him as being respectable and a hard worker who loved and enjoyed spending time with his family more than anything. He was a good hearted, compassionate man that will be missed by many.
Mr. Velasquez was preceded in death by his father, Auturo Velasquez; mother, Felicitas Ybarra; sons, Michael and Steve H.
He is survived by his spouse, Janie Hernandez; brothers and sisters-in-law, Victor and Eva Velasquez, Roger and Sandy; brothers, Dario, Tudy, Andy, Abram; sister and brother-in-law, Carmen and Sam; sisters, Sandy, Margie, Elizabeth; son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Veronika; son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Sandy, son, Matthew; daughter, Christina; daughter and son-in law, Nina and Tony; grandsons, Damian, Dezi, Devin, Nathan, Joseph, Anthony, Jordan, Steve; granddaughters, Ashley, Emily, Madison, Angelina, Mya, and Athena along with numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
