

Thomas Walter Petrick, age 81, passed away on February 16, 2023 in Dallas, Texas. He was born August 31, 1941 in San Antonio, Texas to Glen and Dorothy Petrick and raised in Colorado and Texas. He graduated From Bellaire High School in Houston, Texas and received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas. He served in the Army as a 1st lieutenant in army intelligence during the Vietnam War.
He wed Neila Skinner on October 26, 1963; they have been married 59 years.
An insurance executive in Dallas, he retired from Munich Re-Insurance after more than 30 years in the industry.
Tom and Neila enjoyed traveling, and visited many countries worldwide as well as destinations in the United States. Tom also enjoyed model railroading, sports, reading, and classical music.
Active for many years as a member of the Lutheran Church, he was a supporter of Lutheran World Hunger and the North Texas Food Bank.
Family and friends will remember him as a wine connoisseur, trivia buff, voracious reader and book club participant.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife Neila of Dallas, his sister Jean Petrick of Round Rock, his brother Dr. G. Frank Petrick of Sugarland, brothers and sisters-in-law Rick and Jan Hublein, Dr. Coy and Felisa Grace, Deanna Skinner, Stephen Skinner, and a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
