He was born on May 19, 1946 in Dallas, Texas to his parents, Elmer and Rosie Ella Hammonds.
Tim attended and graduated high school at Kimball High School in Oak Cliff, Texas. After high school he enlisted and served under the command of the 82nd Airborne division of the United States Army before taking a post in Alaska and finally finishing out his military career as a file clerk at a new military prison located in Kansas. After leaving the military he took on some minor jobs before starting his career with the Carpenters’ Union. Tim served 50 years in the union where he did everything from building trade show displays to teaching the new and upcoming carpenters tricks of the trade. After 50 years Tim retired but looked for things to do to keep him busy so he started driving a bus for a local ISD and joined the City Council at the City of Boyd. Recently stepping down from these positions due to his health.
His interests included fishing, camping in his RV, Purple Martin enthusiast, and most of all entertaining friends and family.
He met his wife of Virginia L. Hammonds in Oak Cliff, Texas on November 29, 1970 and wed on October 8, 1971.
He is survived by his wife Virginia of Boyd, Texas; Brothers and Sisters, Phillip Hammonds, Mary Lambrecht, Virginia & Mike Chambers, Delores & Joe Bird, Ann & Larry Wall, Shree & Robert Connell and Elizabeth & Mike Hamberick; children, Leroy & Zandra Moses, David Moses, Vickie Erickson and Chris Moses, Grandchildren, Timothy Vines, Joshua Vines, Tiffany Melrose, Jamin Moses, Micah Moses, Gabby Erickson, Ashley Moses, Austin Moses, Kimberly Moses and numerous Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Vyrama Davisson and Carol Esparza, as well as daughter Debbie Vines.
