

Tommy Wayne Tarlton, 74, of Mesquite, Texas, passed away on March 26, 2026. Born on March 8, 1952, in Pilot Point, Texas, Tommy was a devoted, faithful, patient, and selfless man whose steady presence and generous heart shaped the lives of all who knew him.
Raised in Pleasant Grove, Tommy carried with him the values of family and perseverance throughout his life. He later graduated from Criswell College in 2008, a meaningful accomplishment that reflected his commitment to growth and purpose. Tommy worked as an electrical sales representative for Crawford Electric.
In 1987, Tommy married Terri Lynne Smith, and together they built a life centered on love, faith, and family. He was a loving husband and father, and his family was a source of deep pride and joy.
Tommy was preceded in death by his father, James Tarlton; mother, Violet Tarlton; and older brother, Eddie Tarlton. He is survived by his wife, Terri Tarlton; eldest son, Taylor Tarlton and wife Hope and their children, Owen and Emma-Kate; youngest son, Travis Tarlton; younger brother, Neal Tarlton; and his youngest brother, Bobby Tarlton.
A man filled with joy, laughter, and a love for Jesus Christ, Tommy’s faith was not only something he professed, but something he lived. He volunteered at Lakepointe Mesquite Campus, volunteered to feed the homeless, served as a Royal Ambassador, and gave his time as a youth sports coach—always offering encouragement, patience, and a steady example to those around him.
Outside of work and service, Tommy found happiness in the outdoors through dove hunting and fishing. He also loved watching the Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Mavericks, and the Texas Rangers.
Tommy will be remembered for the strength of his character, the warmth of his laughter, and the enduring love he gave so freely. His legacy lives on in his family, his service, and the many lives touched by his faithful and selfless spirit.
