Tracy Wray Taylor

Tracy Wray Taylor, 59, of Plano, Texas, passed away August 28th, 2019, peacefully at home in her sleep. She was born in Englewood, New Jersey, on May 31st, 1960. In 1978, she graduated High School from Northfield Mount Herman Private School in Mount Herman, Mass. She attended college at SMU in Dallas and was a member of Tri Delta Sorority. She also attended Boston College and Boston University in Boston, Mass. She went on to work in the advertising departments of Neiman Marcus and Beauticontrol Cosmetics, both in Dallas. In addition to her deep love and devotion for her family, Tracy had a special place in her heart for all animals – especially strays. Among her many great attributes were her charming intelligence, desire to learn, smile-inducing laughter, love of travel and wonderful sense of humor.

She was preceded in death by her father Austin Starke Taylor Jr., her brother Wesley Markle and her nephew Wesley Salley.

She is survived by her mother Carolyn Norman Taylor, sister Susan Taylor Salley, brother Chris Taylor and his wife Davina; nephews Josh Salley and his wife Megan, Jake Salley and his wife Auburn, and Austin Salley; niece Allyssa Simons and her husband Ryan; and 5 great nieces and nephews.

A private family burial was held on Sunday, September 1st, 2019, at Sparkman Hillcrest. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to: SPCA of Texas, 2400 Lone Star Dr. Dallas, 75212 OR to Austin’s Army for Special Needs Children at Lovers Lane United Methodist Church, 9200 Inwood Road, Dallas, 75220.
