Truman Walker

Truman Gavin Walker ,died February 4, 2012 in Mesquite, TX, he was born June 27,1925 in Weatherford, TX to the late Cecil and Ruth (Tompkins) Walker. He is survived by his wife, Annie Margaret Walker, two daughters: Nita Ann and husband Ernie Foster and Debora Lynn and husband Terry Rogers of Mesquite, two sisters: Eloise McCauley and Elaine White, brother-in-law Howard Hooper, eight grandchildren, fourteen Great-Grandchildren, and Numerous other family including nephews, nieces and cousins. Mr. Walker is preceded in death by his parents, brother, J.C. Walker, sister, Patsy Hooper, and daughter, Becky Walker Knight. Truman and Margaret were married for 66 years, Truman Pastored several churches including, Lamar Street Baptist Church in Eastland, TX, Central Baptist Church in Hobbs, New Mexico, Grace Baptist Church, Stephenville, Texas, Hanley Drive Baptist Church, Hanley, Texas, Dallas Baptist Temple, Dallas, Texas, Faith Baptist Church, Dallas and later Mesquite, Texas. He was currently a member of Mesquite Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be held February 7, 2012 at The Gathering formally known as Faith Baptist Church 1228 Newsom Road, Mesquite, TX 75149. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery in Seagoville, TX, Pastor Harry Seabolt of Mesquite Baptist Church and Pastor Donnie Foster of the Journey Baptist Church in Forth. Worth will be conducting the service. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers: Damon Foster, Dusty Rogers, Justin Rogers, DJ Foster, Dylan Foster, Mark Sherrard, Greg Kerr and Jacob Hill.
