VICTOR FRANKLIN or as some beloved friends and family referred to him as SLIKK VIC, was born a fraternal twin on March 22, 1960. Born to the beautiful union of Robert and Euradell Franklin, he was one of five children. Survived by his four siblings. Three of those are sisters, CLEMENTINE, SHARON, and his twin VICKEY (EVERETT) and one brother, JERRY (BETTY), all residing in Dallas, Texas. Also a host of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents ROBERT and EURADELL FRANKLIN and other close relatives.
VICTOR is also survived by his beautiful and strong wife, GWENDOLYN, and their children, VICTOR (Nooki), CHACE, COLE, and his only grandson, Kameron. These blessings came from the lovely union of the two loving souls when VICTOR married GWENDOLYN on August 21, 1993. The pair met in college in 1989 and Victor said he knew Gwen was his soulmate! They were best friends and head over heels in love together for 32 years. Victors first child, Victor born in 1986, then Victor and Gwen welcomed second child, Chace born in 1994 and then welcomed third child, Cole born in 2004. Victor was an all around family man, he devoted more than just time to his boys. They did everything together and he even still enjoyed beating them in basketball. Every moment was a memory that the boys and Gwen will cherish for the rest of their lives.
Victor graduated from Pinkston High School in 1978, where he went on to attend ITT TECHNICAL for Telecom Engineering. As the years passed God had other, greater plans and his career which ended as him being a Senior Underwriter for BSI Financial where he was just granted a promotion for his stellar work ethic. He truly lived by the bible verse, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13
The Franklin home was always full of family, friends, love, and laughter. Victor was generous and genuine with his time and love, he never met a stranger, his door was always open. Victor would give you the shirt off his back. He had the ability to bring out the best in others and any friend would attest to that. Victor enjoyed every moment of life, HE KNEW he was a chosen child of God. For many are called, but few are chosen. Matthew 22:14.
