

Virginia Montes Fonseca, 50, of Dallas, TX, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2025. Born on March 28, 1975, in Tampa, FL, to Juan and Milagros Montes, Virginia grew up in the vibrant West Tampa neighborhood and graduated from Jefferson High School in 1993.
In 1996, she married the love of her life, Eddy Fonseca, building a devoted partnership rooted in mutual respect and unwavering support. A dedicated Registered Nurse, Virginia spent more than a decade at Encompass Rehab Hospital, where her compassion and expertise touched countless lives.
A woman of remarkable strength, confidence and accomplishment, Virginia earned a black belt in taekwondo, battled breast cancer not once but twice—emerging as a victorious survivor—and became a passionate advocate for others facing the disease.
In her spare time, she found joy in traveling the world, creating delicious meals in the kitchen, and tending her garden with loving care. Family and friends will forever cherish her as a caring, selfless, compassionate, and deeply loving wife, daughter, sister, and aunt.
She was preceded in death by her father, Juan Montes, and her mother-in-law, Alejandra Hernandez.
Virginia is survived by her husband, Eddy Fonseca; her mother, Milagros Montes; her sister, Cira Musumeci; her brother, Juan Montes; and a large extended family of cousins, nieces, and nephews who will miss her radiant spirit.
Graveside services will be held at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75211, at 10:00AM on Thursday, November 13, 2025. Please arrive at the National Cemetery by 9:45am and proceed to Lane 1.
