He was born in Bartlett, TX on September 15, 1923 to Walter Lee and Mary Ola Montgomery. He graduated from Bartlett High School and Dallas Business College. He served overseas in the Army as an Ordinance Man. He retired from Republic National Bank as Vice President after 40 years.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Doris Montgomery of Dallas, TX,his daughter and son-in-law Susan and Greg Biggs and grandchildren Megan and Blake, his nieces, Michaelene Lee, Darlene Dungan, Anne Wieringa and Mary Shoemaker. Nephews include Tommy, Ralph and Wayne Montgomery. A Funeral Service will be at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, September 21 at Sparkman/Hillcrest Northwest Chapel, 7405 W. Northwest Hwy., Dallas, TX. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Sparkman/Hillcrest on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm.
