

Walter Eugene Storms was born October 12, 1964, in San Saba, Texas, to the parentage of William L. Storms, Sr. and Dahl B. Storms. He graduated from Justin F. Kimball High School, class of 1983. He also attended Navarro Junior College in Corsicana, Texas. He retired from Time Warner Cable after 20 years of service where he was a supervisor in dispatch. In 2009, Walter was presented with an appreciation award from the DeSoto Lady Eagles Volleyball Program. Walter accepted Christ at an early age. He served as a greeter at Beckley Hills Baptist Church and any other role Rev. Wilton Banks needed him. He also served on the 8am Hospitality Team at Concord Church. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, son and friend. He gave his all even through the pain. He was our hero on earth. On April 8, 2016, the Lord said to Walter, “Come unto Me, and I will give you rest.” He is reunited with his grandparents, William Henry Storms and Eloise Taylor Storms; and brother, William Leroy Storms, Jr. He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Gwendolyn Storms; son, Walter C. Storms (Shannon); daughter, Taylar D. Storms; beloved pet, Rusty; parents, William L. Storms, Sr. and Dahl B. Storms; mother-in-law, Mary Brantley; father-in-law, Ivill Thompson; sister-in-law, Vetia Washington (Rev. Ray); brother-in-law, Victor Thompson; god sister, Natarsha Price; niece, Tammy Canto; great nephew, Airman Christopher Canto; great niece, Madison Martin; god children, Tristian Hardy, Chelsea Simpson, Peyton Alexander; and a host of other relatives and friends.
