

He was born on September 23, 1938 in Paris, TX to Russell and Mary Regan. While attending Texas A&M University he met Patricia Regan and they married in 1959 in Dallas.
Commissioned into the U S Army in 1960, he served with the 1st Howitzer Battalion United States Army Europe in Nuremberg, Germany.
After being honorably discharged at the rank of Major, he began work with Marsh and McLennan in Atlanta before moving to Philadelphia with INA.
In 1978, he was finally able to return to Dallas when he was hired by Eppler Guerin and Turner.
He volunteered with numerous organizations to include; Boy Scouts of America, the Optimist Club, Goodwill Industries, and First United Methodist Church in Dallas. He could be found regularly at CC Young with one of his golden retrievers Murphy and Nugget providing therapy and comfort for its residents.
A long time member of Lakewood Country Club, he served as their President from 2000 to 2001.
William is preceded in death by his mother Mary Anderson Regan and father Marion Russell Regan, and his wife of 65 years Patricia Franklin Regan.
He is survived by his children Greg and his wife Beverly, Ken and his wife Tiffany, and daughter Denise; his beloved grandchildren, Rachael McLoughlin, Kaitlyn Domenico, Russell Regan and Jacob Regan; and one great-grandchild.
A service of remembrance to celebrate the lives of William and Patricia will be held on March 1, 2025 at 11 a.m at First United Methodist Church in Dallas, Texas. A reception will follow the service in the church’s Atrium.
