Zenobia Walker

Zenobia (Connie) Walker age 67, passed away on August 17, 2016 in Athens, Texas. Connie was born in Dallas, Texas on September 12, 1948 to the parents of Helen Jean Oliver and J.B. Richards. Connie attended Lincoln High School in Dallas, where she had to drop out of school to take care of her only child, after near death experience with double pneumonia. Later Connie went on in life and accomplished and obtained her GED, despite life challenges. Connie attended Aladdin Beauty School and obtained her cosmetology licenses. Connie spent 40 years in serving her clients until she retired. Later Connie decided to become a license CNA, to care for people in their senior years. Connie was preceded in death by both of her parents: J.B Richards and Helen Jean Oliver; sister: Tillie R. Singleton and granddaughter: Iman Latress Richards. She leaves to cherish her legacy and memories: her daughter: Duana Richards-Shelby; sister: Cherlyn Gail Richards; brother: Kenneth Wayne Richards; aunt: Cora Smith; (2) grandchildren: April LaRachel Lewis and Avery Marques Caldwell; (4) great-grandchildren: Anniya l. Barrett, Caleb Lewis, Promise Brewster and Karis D. Polk; (5) nephews: Kylan Whitfield, Kennard H. Darby Richards, Kennan Richards, Ivan D. Webb, and Kennon Richards, Jr.; (1) niece: Keely Richards; (3) great nephews: Steve Richards, Chris Richards and Demarion Richards; (2) great nieces: Khalise Richards and Dakota Jenson Richards and host of cousins and other relatives and friends that will greatly miss Connie.
