Alloise was born in Danbury, CT, a daughter of the late Waldemar Schirmer Sr. and Gertrude Carlson Schirmer. She was a 1949 graduate of Danbury High School.
An avid outdoorswoman and sports enthusiast, Alloise hunted, played softball, volleyball, skiing, soccer, tennis, and bowling, and enjoyed hiking and horseback riding. Alloise also greatly enjoyed bluegrass music and playing her banjo.
Alloise was predeceased by brothers: Charles, Waldemar Jr., and Duane Schirmer.
She is survived by daughters: Joyce M. Straiton of Waterbury CT and Lynn H. Novicky (Richard) of Weaverville NC; and a son, Wayne A. Straiton (Catherine) of Barre VT.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, CT. Burial will follow in Wooster Cemetery, Danbury, CT.
Friends will be received from 11:00am to 1:00pm on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main ST., Danbury, CT.
