We mourn the loss of a man that accepted nothing and questioned everything, Benjamin Walter Walters, the ultimate Yankees Fan. Born July 8, 1944 in NYC and grew up with his sisters Rita Hetzler, NancyJo Walters, and Liz McDonnell to later join the Air Force from 1961-1965 specializing in radio repair.
After being honorably discharged from service Ben continued radio repair for Gruman Aircraft. In 1972 Ben married his lovely wife Elba Ayala and were married 38 years and had 3 children Elvin Irizarry (wife Sue), Bernadette Wasson, and Benjamin Walters IV (wife Jolene). Ben moved his family to CT to pursue a career as a repair supervisor for Burrows to later retire in 2005 from Xerox as a fax machine repair specialist.
Ben was a large supporter of Wounded Warriors (a charity for veterans), loved animals (especially cats), and loved a bargain. He was forever kind hearted with a great sense of humor. But he lives on forever through his 3 children, 5 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. Our simple chef will be forever missed. The mushrooms, onions, and turkey stuffing will never be the same…
In short, Mr. Walters was and always will be a compliment to life…
