Born on April 12, 1941, in Danbury to Frances and Bill Seaton, Beverly brought joy, warmth, and boundless energy into the world from the very beginning. As a young girl, she adored her beloved dog Queenie, and together they became local favorites as “Buster Brown” for Markoff’s Shoe Store in Danbury, even making appearances on local radio programs. Beverly was vibrant and full of life, dancing her way through high school and charming everyone she met with her beautiful smile and outgoing spirit.
Early in her career, Beverly worked at the Southbury Training School in physical education, where she served as a lifeguard, taught swimming lessons, and enthusiastically encouraged others in sports and recreation. Her natural kindness and encouragement made a lasting impact on those around her.
On February 23, 1963, Beverly married the love of her life, Andrew Kieras, Jr., after joyfully converting to Catholicism having been raised Episcopalian. Together they shared 63 devoted and loving years of marriage, building a beautiful life centered on faith, family, and unwavering commitment to one another. Their marriage was a true partnership filled with laughter, adventure, and deep affection.
Beverly embraced motherhood wholeheartedly and became the heart of her home. She was the definition of a loving and dedicated mother — always present, always cheering her children on, and always creating a home filled with comfort, excitement, and love. One of her greatest joys was preparing meals for her family. Her kitchen was a place of warmth and togetherness, where every dinner felt special and every meal was prepared with creativity and love. Her family never knew what delicious cuisine she might lovingly serve next, but they always knew it would bring everyone together around the table.
Determined to give her children a nurturing presence, Beverly made it a priority to always be home when the school bus arrived, so they did not enter into an empty house after school. She spent countless hours driving carpools, attending activities, and encouraging her children to pursue their passions and dreams. Her love was steady, generous, and selfless in every way.
As her children grew older, Beverly began pursuing some of her own passions. She worked at Danbury Hospital before eventually becoming a travel agent, where she delighted in helping others plan memorable adventures and lifelong journeys. Travel became one of her great joys, especially as she accompanied Andy on assignments around the world. Whether living abroad or setting off on a new adventure, Beverly embraced life with excitement and elegance. She could famously have her bags packed in under an hour and eventually came to appreciate the finer touches of travel, proudly embracing “Concierge Level” as her new standard of travel.
Throughout her life, Beverly dedicated herself to serving others. She served as President of Newtown’s Middle Gate School PTA and volunteered faithfully for more than 25 years as the American Red Cross Disaster Coordinator in Newtown. She loved kayaking, picking fresh blueberries, and turning them into her cherished blueberry buckle and countless other homemade treats that delighted family and friends alike.
Beverly lived with extraordinary enthusiasm, compassion, and grace. She had a rare gift for making people feel welcomed, cared for, and deeply loved. Her vivacious personality, magnetic charisma, and generous spirit touched everyone fortunate enough to know her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, laughter, and devotion that will continue to inspire her family and friends for generations to come.
Though deeply missed, Beverly’s beautiful spirit lives on in the hearts of all who loved her. She was and continues to be a lovely, generous and vivacious soul with overflowing charisma and energy.
