We were so sad and surprised to hear of Carl's death.  We were looking forward to seeing him and chatting with him soon again.

We loved his pot pie;  he was so proud of them and  the fact that he had customers far and wide.

We will miss you, Carl. more that you could have known.  
I hope the heavens enjoy your company.

Sympathies to the family, I was very shocked to hear of his passing.  I was a steady customer and very friendly with Carl.  The man took great pride in his work, preparing quality/ healthy food for a loyal clientele.  He worked hard and was dedicated, rare qualities.  I will miss the grass fed burgers, assorted pot pies, lobster rolls, shakes, etc.  And as a person with NY roots, I also enjoyed the banter and his sense of humor as my food was being readied.
