

Brewster NY when he was a teenager.
He finished several years of college and then was employed by Putnam Hospital. He was an assistant manager there and moved on to opening his own place, Broadstreet Epicure in Pawling NY. He loved his next place, The Buttonwood Café and stayed there for approximately twenty years. He moved to CT and opened the Olde 37 Patio and Grille with the support of his good friend and business partner Marc Lederman.
His skills as a chef brought him several awards during his many years in the restaurant business. He loved the communities he worked in and accrued many lifelong friendships.
Above all, Carl loved two - his family and fishing. He fished with his cousin Gerry and,later with cousins Tom and Ken. His other love was his family. Carl also would remark that he was ”Mom’s Favorite!"
He is survived by his brother, Joseph [Cindy], sister Barbara, and
partner Frank Melo, sister Suzanne Bisogno, sister June Miller [Larry], and sister Linda Stumberg [Stephen]. He leaves behind several beloved nieces and a nephew and great nieces and
nephews. Carl was preceded in death by his parents and nephew Mark Bisogno.
A private burial will be held at a later date. Donations in Carl’s name can be made to either St. Jude's Children’s Research Hospital or St. Peter’s Church in Rosendale, NY, or a place of your choosing.
