Derek Botticelli

Derek Botticelli a resident of New Fairfield, died suddenly on December 13, 2011 at Danbury Hospital. He was 37 years old. Derek was born August 28, 1974 in Danbury, CT the son of Donald Botticelli and Pam Vanderheyden. He was an Electrician and owner of Botticelli Electric in New Fairfield, he enjoyed riding his Harley, snow mobiling, the New York Jets, go-carting, the Yankees, and Nascar, and mostly he was extremely proud of becoming a new father.

He is survived by his parents Donald Botticelli and Pam Vanderheyden of New Fairfield, his longtime girlfriend Tara Munsen and future son Dominic Alexander of New Fairfield, one sister Dawn Azzarito and her husband Arthur of Danbury, two nieces Nicole and Sarah Azzarito and several cousins and many extended family members and friends.

Calling hours will be on Friday from 4 00 to 800 pm at the Green Funeral Home 57 Main St. Danbury. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday 10 00 am at St Gregory the Great Church interment will follow at Mountainview Cemetery in New Fairfield.
