

Domenico Villani, 62, of Danbury, CT passed away on Thursday morning at Danbury Hospital after a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Marianne G. (LaBianca) Villani. Dom was born in Esperia, Frosinone, Italy on September 15, 1950, a son of Elisabetta Penge Villani of the Bronx, NY and the late Salvatore Villani. Dom immigrated to the United States in 1956 on the ill-fated final voyage of the SS Andrea Doria. He was a 1968 graduate of Theodore Roosevelt High School in the Bronx and served with the US Army reserves. Dom joined Avaya (formerly New York Telephone) in 1969 and was a Systems Technician with them until his retirement in August of last year. A Danbury resident for the past 28 years, Dom previously lived in the Bronx. He was a member of St. Joseph Church in Danbury.
Besides his mother, survivors include his son: Michael A. Villani and his wife, Katherine, of Danbury. His daughter: Elisabeth V. Villani of Danbury. His granddaughter: Madelyn Villani of Danbury. His two brothers: Antonio Villani of Yonkers and Luigi Villani of Mahopac, NY. He is also survived by his companion, Dora Pinto of New York City as well as several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10am at St. Joseph Church, Danbury. Entombment will follow at Ferncliff Mausoleum in Hartsdale, NY. Friends will be received on Sunday from 2pm to 5pm and on Monday from 5pm to 9pm at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury.
