Edward J. Griffin, of Danbury died Thursday February 7, 2013 at Pope John Paul Nursing Home. He was 76 years old. Edward was born February 23, 1936 in New York City. One of eleven children, he was the son of the late James and Catherine Griffin. He was the loving father of Edward Griffin and his wife Kim, Thomas Griffin and his wife Tina, David Griffin and his wife Robin, Debra Schmid and her husband Doug, he is also survived by ten grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and close friends. In addition to his parents he was pre-deceased by his wife Margaret, one daughter Catherine Griffin and one son John Griffin. Friends may call at the Green Funeral Home 57 Main St. Danbury on Saturday February 16, 2013, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Cremation services were held in private.
