With unimaginable heartbreak, we share the passing of our beloved Gabriella “Bella” Hope Patterson, who left this world in the comfort of her home on May 26, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. She was just 16 years old.
Bella was the cherished daughter of Creston and Maggie (Merhi) Patterson and the deeply loved little sister of Kayla Patterson. She was the treasured granddaughter of Susan Patterson and Youssef and Hanneh Merhi; the niece of George Merhi and his wife, Susan; Rita Hill and her husband, Christopher; and Michaela Calhoun and her husband, Jason.
She joins her uncles: Tyrone Patterson and Duane Patterson in eternal rest. Bella leaves behind a large, devoted family and endless cousins who adored her deeply.
Bella had an unforgettable presence. She was quick-witted, full of laughter, and constantly giving love to those around her. Her beautiful, bright smile could light up any room, and her strength and spirit left a mark on all who knew her. Her loyalty was unmatched and if you were lucky enough to have her by your side, she would fight for you and love you through and through.
She filled her days with the things that brought her joy - from playing basketball, volleyball, and soccer to diving into crafts, puzzles, and Legos that sparked her creativity. Bella expressed herself beautifully through singing, music, makeup, and baking. A true foodie at heart, she found happiness both in the kitchen and around the table, sharing meals with the people she loved most. Whether she was laughing with cousins, spending quiet moments with family, singing in the hot tub and having pool parties with her friends, or snuggled up with her beloved puppy, Rocky, Bella had a way of making every moment feel full of love and laughter.
Bella was a dedicated student whose academic achievements reflected her intelligence and drive. She was a consistent honor roll student, a proud member of the Junior National Honor Society and the French Honor Society, and the recipient of numerous team sport awards recognizing her teamwork and spirited leadership on and off the court.
