Geoffrey L. Potter

Geoffrey L. Potter, 62, a lifetime resident of Danbury died July 17, 2011 at Danbury Hospital. Geoffrey was born January 4, 1949 in Danbury, CT, son of Eleanor (Donato) Potter and the late George Potter.

He was an owner of Danbury Overhead Door. Geoffrey served in the US Navy during Vietnam and was a member of the Danbury American Legion. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, and especially boating on Candlewood Lake.

He is survived by his children Andrew Potter of Bethel, Jessica McLoughlin and her husband Cory of Bethel, his mother Eleanor Potter of Danbury, two sisters Susan Argenio of CA, and Lynda Russell and her husband Chet of Bristol, CT. He also leaves two grandchildren Kyle and Rebecca McLoughlin of Bethel and his former wife Jeanne also of Bethel along with many nieces, nephews, cousins.

Friends may call at the Green Funeral Home on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday 10:00 am at St Joseph Church, Danbury cremation services will be held at the families convenience.
