Born on September 4, 1933, in Jersey City, New Jersey, she was the cherished daughter of George and Jesse Roselle. Grace married her childhood sweetheart, Charles Wittman, on July 14, 1949—a love story that spanned a lifetime. During the early years of their marriage, Grace embraced the role of an Air Force wife, living in New Mexico, California, Guam, and New York. Together, they built a life rooted in love, raising four children and creating countless joyful memories filled with family, laughter, backyard barbecues, and trips to the Jersey Shore.
Grace was known for her warmth, elegance, and unshakable love for her family. She was a fashionista with a signature butterfly pin, a lover of books and coloring, and a woman whose kitchen was always filled with the comforting aroma of her famous spaghetti sauce. She found beauty in the simple things and shared that beauty with everyone around her.
She is survived by her children: Laura (Charles) Craig, Charles (Mary) Wittman, Mark Wittman, and Brian (Nicki) Wittman; her grandchildren: Shannon (William) Evans, Jason Wittman, Jennifer (Doug Saunders) Wittman, Allison (Aaron) Wittman, James Craig, and Andrew Wittman; and her great-grandchildren: Kathryn, William, Bodhi, Adelaide, and Aidan. She also leaves behind several loving nieces and nephews.
Grace was predeceased by her beloved husband Charles; her parents George and Jesse Roselle; her children Diane and Bruce; her sister Dorothy Fisher; her brother George Roselle; and her nephew Edward Roselle.
Her life was a shining example of grace, strength, and devotion. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who were blessed to know her.
