Greg was born in Elmira, NY to Gerald and Joyce Frawley on August 11, 1952. He was one of six children and often spoke of his childhood with fond memories of growing up with such a big family who eventually moved to Newtown, CT. When he settled down with a family of his own, he found Danbury CT to be his home and stayed there for over fifty years. He worked as a chef in many restaurants, most notably as head chef at Stony Hill Inn in Bethel, where he would serve delicious food to hundreds of guests a night. He had a passion for cooking that always came out in his food and anyone who was lucky to have experienced it knew that it was exactly what he was meant to do. Greg was a fan of the NY Yankees, NY Giants, and UConn Huskies and fine-tuning his cooking skills by watching the Food Network channel.
