

Idalba was born in Colombia, daughter to the late Rogelio and Felicidad Barrera. She had immigrated to the United States and had worked for many years as a machine operator for the former American Cyanamid Company and was a longtime member of St. Gregory the Great Church and the Danbury Chapter of the AARP. She was an avid animal lover and had a green thumb for beautiful gardens.
She is survived by her daughter Patricia Gillotti and son Hector Situ, step-son Albert Gillotti and wife Susan, granddaughter Christina Gillotti and cousins Dory and Leonor Gonzalez of NJ.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Gregory the Great Church, on Thursday morning at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Peter Cemetery. Friends may call at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, on Wednesday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
