With great sadness James Lapan gained his angel wings on February 28, 2018. He was loved by so many family and friends throughout his lifetime with his funny jokes and quick come backs. He made sure his family was always taken care of and spent countless hours with his granddaughter, who will always be the apple of his eye. He was looking forward to the arrival of his twin grandchildren due in August. He will be missed terribly by his family and friends but the memories we have together will live on in our hearts. One of the best memories we hold in our hearts is Jim being outside all year round with his furry companions.
Jimmy was a long term employee for the State of Connecticut, Department of Transportation, where he enjoyed working with his colleagues.
He is preceded by his parents Bernard and Jeanette Lapan and his daughter Megan Lapan. He is survived by his wife Dawn (Robinson) Lapan, daughter Ashley Lapan, Sharon Guarino, granddaughter Brooklyn Lapan, brother Kim Lapan and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Sunday, March 4, from 5pm to 8pm at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, CT. The funeral service will be held Monday at 11:30am at Green Funeral Home with interment to follow at Wooster Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to a charity of your choice.
